FAQs

What is Lifeline?

MobileNation is proud to offer Lifeline service, a program that enables qualifying customers to receive discounts on monthly telephone service. You will receive discounted cellular service, a low priced cell phone and the assurance that you will get low-cost service and no contracts EVER! The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) with the help of the Universal Service Administrative Company (USAC) administers the Federal Universal Service Fund (USF) that supports the Lifeline program, which has helped low-income consumers afford phone service since 1984.

How do I qualify for MobileNation Lifeline Service?

The Lifeline program is available to eligible consumers in selected states and territories. To qualify for Lifeline, subscribers must either have an income that is at or below 135% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines, or participate in one of the following assistance programs:

  • Medicaid
  • Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP)
  • Supplemental Security Income (SSI)
  • Federal Public Housing Assistance (FPHA) Section 8
  • Federal Veterans Pension or Survivors Pension
  • To qualify based on your income, see a store for details.

Can I have MobileNation Lifeline Service if I am enrolled in the Lifeline program?

Under FCC rules, you may only be enrolled in a single Lifeline program per household. However, if you are receiving Lifeline service from another provider and would like to change your Lifeline benefit to MobileNation, you may apply to switch. To begin the process complete and submit your application. Contact a MobileNation Store to see if you are eligible to transfer to MobileNation.
